RW Counter Check unit for handling self-adhesive labels
RW COUNTER CECK is a unit for handing self-adhesive labels on reels which can rewind the labels clockwise or anti clockwise on different reel core diameters, count the labels using a progressive or regressive counter, check the presence of labels and stop in the presence of a missing label.
When working as a rewinder the machine can rewind labels starting from reels with a maximum diameter of 300 mm in the BASIC version or 400 mm in the BIG version. Rolls can be rewinded internally or externally, with adjustable spindle from 40 to 110 mm in the BASIC version or with a fixed spindle 76 mm to expansion in the BIG version. The rewinding process – internally or externally – reaches a speed of over 50 meters / minute.
When working as a control device, a photocell counts the labels but is also able to check their presence and signal their absence with the possibility of stopping for repositioning. The operation doesn’t require settings as it is performed by the control unit which acquires the label length by self learning. An ultrasonic photocell is available for transparent labels. The control panel incorporates a 2-line display of 20 characters and 7 function keys for programming: • Rewind speed; • Internal or external winding; • Check for missing labels or presence of the gap; • Incremental or count-down pieces counter down with automatic stop. RW COUNTER CHECK is available in three versions: BASIC, PLUS and BIG; all versions can be supplied with meters counters as an option.
The PLUS version is equipped with an interchangeable rewinder for 1 – inch mandrel.

COUNTER CHECK XTRA is a system suitable for various applications such as inserting an ink jet marker rather than a thermal transfer marker or a labelling machine. In particular the LABEL version can apply a label on another label or on a continuous band at a speed of over 40 meters / minute
The system consists of a motorized unwinder and rewinder that accept reels with a maximum width of 230 mm and a diameter of 400 mm.
The expanding mandrel allows perfect locking of the core and the tensioning arm of the rewinder guarantees a very precise and compact rewinding. The traction of the material is made by rubberized rollers driven by a step motor which guarantee perfect dragging. The drag and labeling speed are synchronized by means of an encoder to ensure accuracy at any speed.
